Tortilla Press 20cm - Avanti

This Avanti tortilla press turns a ball of masa or dough into an even, thin 20cm disc in seconds, giving you a head start on tacos, quesadillas, fajitas and salad wraps made from scratch.

Cast aluminium construction stands up to repeated pressing without warping, and the long handle gives good leverage so you don't need much strength to flatten the dough evenly in one push. Line the plates with parchment paper first, centre a golf-ball-sized piece of dough, then press down, flip the disc over and press again for a uniform, thin result on both sides. It works just as well for corn tortillas as it does for flour-based wraps, giving a more consistent thickness than rolling by hand, and speeds up the job when you're making a big batch for a crowd.
